Senate Appropriations Committee Reports FY 2012 Ag Appropriations Bill

The Senate Appropriations Committee met today and approved the FY 2012 Agriculture Appropriations Bill, which includes funding for the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA). The following table shows the NIFA funding levels approved by the Senate Committee compared to the FY 2011 enacted levels, the House mark, and the President’s Budget Request. As you can see, most NIFA lines remained largely unchanged from their FY 2011 enacted levels. We will provide further analysis of the Senate marks in a few days when additional details are available.
